Whakaaro Roa | Governance
As a publicly funded school, we are committed to transparency. Here you will find our key planning and reporting documents.
He Kōrero | Why We Publish
Te Kura o Te Wainui-ā-Rua is a state-funded primary school. We are required by the Education and Training Act 2020 to make certain planning and reporting documents publicly available. We do this willingly — we believe our community deserves to know how their kura is performing, where it is heading, and how resources are being used.
The documents below represent our school's strategic direction, annual goals, and accountability to the Ministry of Education, the Education Review Office, and the wider community.
If you have any questions about these documents, please contact our school office or attend one of our Board of Trustees meetings — which are open to the public.
Our Board meets regularly throughout the year. Meeting dates and agendas are published in our school newsletter. All members of our community are welcome to attend as observers.

Our Strategic Plan sets out the kura's vision, goals, and priorities over a three to five year period. It guides how we make decisions about teaching, learning, staffing, and resourcing.
Our Annual Plan outlines the specific goals and actions we are focusing on for the current year, derived from our Strategic Plan.
Our Annual Report reflects on the year past — what we achieved, what we learned, and how we are tracking against our goals. It includes financial information and student achievement data.
Our Charter sets out our school's vision, values, and commitments. It is the foundation document that guides all that we do.
Annual financial statements are included in the Annual Report above. Audited accounts are submitted to the Ministry of Education as required by the Education and Training Act 2020.
We publish information on student achievement and attendance as required. This information is also included in our Annual Report.
The ERO independently reviews schools and publishes public reports on school performance. Our most recent ERO report is available below.
If you need a document not listed here, or would like to know more about how our school is governed, please get in touch.
